A little bit about me

Hello and welcome to Askasdivorceddad!

My name is Hussein, I am both a divorce coach and a divorce financial analyst.

My journey started 20 years ago when I moved to NYC to pursue a career in banking, and along the way hit several milestones. Most important of which is being blessed with two amazing children.

However, the day I was served my divorce papers, my life seemed to have come to a sudden halt. It was like someone just pulled the emergency brake and everything got knocked over. Little did I know then, that exact moment was my new lease on life and a chance to start over.

Why did I become a divorce coach

My divorce experience as a father of two was not easy. It was lonely, draining and often felt demeaning. The process forced on me a vast spectrum of challenges and choices to confront — some obvious, many less so.

It has been my experience and the experience of many around me, that the two most debated matters in divorce proceedings are custody and finances. It is also my experience and the experience of many, that neither party leaves the divorce proceedings feeling anything less than traumatized, drained and often vilified by their ex-partner. Since both divorcing individuals end up distressed, then whose fault is it?

It is now my belief that the divorce process in and out of itself is alienating, antagonistic and hardly ever results in an equitable settlement. More-so, the “system” does not allow for reconciliation and often drags divorcing couples through a bazaar of overzealous, often vexatious and financially draining legal labyrinth with no end in sight. Divorce Settlement is often the result of someone giving up. It doesn’t have to be that way.

I believe in a simple mission: Protect divorcing individuals from the divorce process itself. Protect their assets, livelihood, mental wellbeing and ability to rebuild their lives after the divorce is over.

With over 18 years in the financial sector, I have first-hand understanding of personal and retirement assets, home mortgages and other liabilities, and the often-overlooked taxation nuances that could significantly impact divorce settlements. I am also a certified regulatory risk manager allowing me to read through legal jargon and highlight anything that may make the settlement unclear, unquantifiable or above all unenforceable.

While being your thinking partner is a critical part of the process, my primary focus is to empower you to move forward with clarity and confidence throughout your divorce journey. Many clients have come to me feeling they've exhausted their options, only to discover a wealth of alternative settlement paths they haven't considered.

How can my experience help you

With a unique blend of professional expertise and personal experience, I aim to provide clarity and strategy. I offer a fresh perspective on potential settlement options, ensuring that you’re making informed decisions for your future. It's not just about getting through with the divorce; it's about setting the foundation for your next chapter with the best possible resources and options at your disposal all while saving time and money.

Let's work together.

You will hear from me soon. Make sure to add @askadivorceddad.com to your safe senders list.
